We could not be more excited, proud, thankful, or relieved to have N on US soil! As we inched slowly up to the immigration counter for non-US citizens that day, I got more and more emotional. N joined a long line of immigrants who have sought and found a home in America the Beautiful, and it was such a privilege to be part of that process with him. Handing over his stack of documents to the immigration official and finally being released into the country, stamps in hand, with the welcome of our home country, was so meaningful. What an honor to have walked down this path; what an amazing blessing for all of us to share--at long last!--the same citizenship. We have been one family for a long time now; we are so thankful to be of the same country now as well.
YAY!!!! Can NOT wait to meet him!!!!
