Beautiful Taiwan

Even after five years, I never cease to be amazed at how incredibly beautiful this place is.  Before we moved to Taiwan, I envisioned a country of factories and big, polluted cities.  There is some of that, of course.  But there is so much more to it than that.

Mike's brother-in-law was just here for 2 weeks, and we got to spend some time revisiting our favorite places around the island with him.

Seriously.  This place is amazing.

Come see Taiwan and see why we love it so.  But not everyone at once.  Notice the lack of crowds in all of the pics?  Let's keep this amazing place on the down-low.

  1. You did so much! How much time did you take? We were there for a month last year. Circled the island. Would love to get your favorites list for our next visit, a few years from now. Beautiful, thank you for sharing! Tara

  2. Hi Tara! That's awesome that you circled the island last year! Not a lot of people take the time to do that. We did it once in 2009 and spent almost 2 weeks driving all the way around, stopping along the way. This time, my husband and his brother just took the train down the east coast, spent 3 days in Taidong, and then met the kids and I in Kenting for 5 days. We then spent a (long) day driving up the west coast and stopping at places along the day. The shots from Taipei and the north coast are just from day trips we did. Would love to drive around the island again in a year or two! Let me know when you come back to Taiwan--would be happy to share our favorites!

  3. My jealousy abounds! What an amazing post. Taiwan is on the top of my list of places to go

Leave me a comment! I love hearing from you.
